Because we own our own crematory, ARC is proud to offer unbelievable competitive funeral service and cremation packages that other funeral companies just can’t do.  Our one-stop-memorial-shop was founded in 1884 and has grown with family and friends who visit our grounds each day.  They continue to come to us for servicing or to simply deliver flowers or personal memories. Day after day, our West Adams location’s servicing tradition has grown because we still understand what our families’ need- and we continue to have it ready for the asking.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our clients. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
A. Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, Including Overhead
Our fee for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff response to the initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary local authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; staff assistance prior to, during, and following the funeral, including cemetery, crematory, and others. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance, and utility expenses; clerical and administrative costs; and equipment and inventory expenses. This fee for our basic service and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select, and is included in our charges for cremation, immediate burials, forwarding and receiving remains, and our funeral packages.		 $850
B. Embalming
Embalming is intended to temporarily preserve the remains and enhance the appearance of the deceased. Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.		 $550

Certified copies of death certificates are processed online through "Vital Chek." Each certificate order will include a $6.00 charge for Vital Chek that will be added to your contract. The cost of death certificates is $16.00 each for the first 10 certificates. When ordering more than ten (10) certificates, each certificated copy over ten will cost $16.50 each.

CREMATION

Cremation Policy

Maximum weight allowance at Angelus Rosedale Crematory is 300 lbs. The services of an outside crematory facility will be used for cremations over 300 lbs. Transportation fees and additional weight fees per pound will be quoted prior to contracting. All containers for cremation must be constructed of composite material and/or heavy cardboard. All remains received for cremation must be encased in a rigid, combustible container.

Casket Destruction
Our crematory will not accept remains in a wooden or metal casket. The remains must be removed from the casket and placed on a cremation tray. Our facility will destroy the casket if left at our facility.		 $150
Removal of Pacemaker or Other Mechanical Devices
Pacemakers and other mechanical devices may be hazardous if placed in the cremation chamber. Our embalmer will remove any such devices before releasing remains to the crematory.		 $50
Direct Cremation
Direct cremation is cremation without a viewing or funeral service. Angelus Funeral Home accepts the following methods of payment: Cash, bank money order, cashier’s check, personal checks, and uncontestable life insurance policies, Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express.

We will gladly accept your personal check upon authorization by Certegy Check Clearance.

Life Insurance

Families choosing to use life insurance to pay for funeral services and merchandise will be assessed an insurance processing fee on the total amount of insurance proceeds being used. Angelus Rosedale, Inc. not receive any portion of this fee. Angelus uses the services of an insurance processing company to quickly process insurance claims and make funds available within the payment schedule established by the mortuary. In order for the insurance processing company to process these claims, the processing fee will be included on your contract as a Cash Advance item because it is money that is paid directly to the insurance processing company and not paid to the mortuary. If you choose not to pay these fees, Angelus Rosedale will not accept your policy to pay for the funeral services and an alternative acceptable method of payment for services will be established.
